Online membership gives you quick access to selected library services. You can reserve titles, set up invitations, and purchase tickets for events. E-books are available for download in the E-library. Online membership is free and registration is valid for one year.
Would you like to borrow books to take home or use online information resources? In the next step, simply choose one of the options to complete your registration: with verification via Bank iD, which allows you to complete your registration online immediately and is valid for two years, or without verification, which you can complete in person at a branch and is valid for one year. Registration costs CZK 60.
Holders of TP, ZTP, ZTP/P cards or disability certificates are entitled to registration and 100 free reservations per year. All you need to do is show the relevant document to a librarian at any branch. Seniors over the age of 70 are entitled to registration and 15 free reservations per year.
Introduction to the Library Rules
The Library Rules are a fundamental document governing the relationship between the library and its users. I have read and understood the Library Rules, in particular the rules on compensation for damage and contractual penalties for breach of obligations, and I undertake to comply with the obligations they impose. The Municipal Library in Prague (hereinafter MKP) may amend the library rules to a reasonable extent. Notices of changes to the MKP library rules will be published in each library and on the website sufficiently in advance of the changes taking effect.
Personal data protection
I acknowledge that MKP processes my personal data to the extent and in accordance with the purpose specified in the library rules. I undertake to notify MKP of any changes to the personal data provided without undue delay.
